Rachel Sutherland Joins America’s Radio News Network

Washington, D.C. – America’s Radio News Network is proud to announce the addition of Rachel Sutherland as a fellow news co-anchor. Rachel Sutherland got her start in radio nearly 20 years ago, and has worked in Washington, DC most of that time.

ARNN’s expanding affiliate roster shows unprecedented growth, recently adding many new affiliates in the major metro markets. America’s Morning News, another 3-hour news program, offered by Talk Radio Network Entertainment in conjunction with The Washington Times, makes 15 hours of syndicated long-form news programming available to affiliates each day and is now on over 275 affiliates, carrying one or more of the five, three-hour news programs, exclusively represented by TRN Syndications, Ltd.

Sutherland has had stints at the Voice of America and ABC News Radio, and spent a decade working as a reporter and anchor at Metro Networks in Washington, where she also served as News Director. She also spent two years in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, co-hosting a morning news program on WRNN-FM. She is a graduate of George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Mark Masters, CEO of ARNN, says, “We welcome Rachel into our exclusive news organization, her background and demeanor are a perfect match for our non-partisan long-form news programming .” Masters adds, “Stations continue to tell us they love the long-form news blocks so much they want more. We have been stunned by the high demand!”

"I'm thrilled to join the talented broadcasters at America's Radio News Network. When I was a kid, my family used to sit around the dinner table and talk about the news of the day. For me, being in the news business is like being at home. I look forward to sitting down with listeners every day to bring them the news and information that matters to them most,” says Sutherland.

"I'm excited to work for Mark Masters, one of the most influential people in radio today. It's refreshing to see an entrepreneur investing in people and in radio, a much-loved, time-tested medium,” says Sutherland.

ARNN’s four news programs deliver non-partisan, fast paced, radio news reporting, during each of the four syndicated long form news-only blocks of programming, along with featuring built-in time within each one of the 3-hours news blocks for affiliates to provide their own local news coverage.

America’s Radio News Network and TRN Entertainment’s America’s Morning News are exclusively represented by TRN Syndications, Ltd. Reserve your market now by calling or visit ARNN online at AmericasRadioNewsNetwork.com where you can also listen live to each of the four news blocks.
