America’s Radio News Network Continues Live Coverage at the Democratic Convention

Co-Anchors Lori Lundin and Rachel Crowson are on the Ground With 15 Hours a Day of Long-Form News from Charlotte, NC

Washington, D.C. – America’s Radio News Network has been well represented at the Democratic National Committee Convention with Co-Anchors Lori Lundin and Rachel Crowson along with producers and technical staff, to supply live interviews and news updates to all five of the 3-hour long-form news programs from ARNN. 

America’s Radio News Network along with America’s Morning News offers 15 hours of syndicated long-form news programming daily and is now on over 340 affiliated stations taking one or more of the five, three-hour news programs. Today’s newsmakers and guests from the Convention floor included: 

Rev. Jesse Jackson discussed the controversy created when the DNC took a floor vote to revise the language of its convention platform to include "God" and to name Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Jackson says, “it is how you treat people, the poor, Medicare, not how you reference God’s name.” 

Delaware Governor Jack Markel stated about Mitt Romney, “that being a business man doesn’t make you qualified for President.” Markel served as the Treasurer of Delaware from 1999 to 2009 and as the Chair of the Democratic Governors Association for 2010. 

Senator Kent Conrad, a U.S. Senator from North Dakota, says that, “President Obama has been a good friend to governors and senators.” Conrad announced that he will not run for re-election in 2012 and will retire. 

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is an influential and forceful voice in Washington. Lee says that Obama shares sentiments of Bill Clinton “we are all in this together, while Republicans believe you are on your own.” She is serving her ninth term (18 years) as a member of the United States House of Representatives. She represents the 18th Congressional District of Texas, centered in Houston. 

Gary Johnson former New Mexico Governor stopped by to say that “he is more liberal than Obama, but more conservative than Romney. Johnson was the Libertarian Party nominee for 
President of the United States in the 2012 election, and is known for his low-tax libertarian views and his strong emphasis on personal health and fitness. 

Bob Weiner is a national columnist, White House reporter, radio-TV commentator, and former spokesman for the Clinton White House said that “Clinton managed to dispel all the Republican talking points” in his speech at the convention. 

Bill Press is the host of nationally syndicated The Bill Press Radio Show, commented that this was the “best speech of Clinton's political career, Romney’s rhetoric is more like direct lies.” He is the former co-host of CNN's Crossfire and MSNBC's Buchanan and Press. 

Emily Tisch Sussman is the Executive Director of Young Democrats of America, the nation’s largest partisan, youth-oriented political organization. She believes there is “a real war on women.” Sussman joined YDA in 2011 after working as an advocate for high-profile political and partisan issues.
